CrossEvents
CrossEvents is a not-for-profit Christian organisation, run as a side venture by Adam 'dUm' Page and Helen 'Hally' Gore. After successfully running the York Meetup for Fusion101, and planning another, this time in Birmingham. They decided that a centralised events planning site would have them out. Hence CrossEvents was born.
Adam Page
Adam Page is a 24 year old parent of one. After finding Christ as a teenager, and suffering damage to his faith due to cult-like Christians, he and his partner had a child. When the relationship fell to pieces, he found his faith again, turned his life around, and met Hally. Adam is the principle web designer for CrossEvents, and in his spare time (lol!) he works as a government programmer (designing events software of all things), helps to run a video rental shop and writes fan material for RPG games. He's written a geeks guide to the CrossEvents website here |

Helen Gore
Hally Gore is 22, She loves music, computers and cooking but hates washing up! She's currently "studying" at Coventry University and plans to be an occupational therapist. Hally has had a lot of jobs but has so far never found the right one! She's been an internet cafe assistant, care assistant, bar maid and legal secretary to name a few. Hally has been a Christian since the age of 12 but lost her way a bit during the difficult 18-21 stretch. She's now back on solid(ish!) ground faith wise and has learnt, having been self destructive for so long, that life is worth living. Her favourite song is Caedmon Call's Lead of Love and has learnt in a long and convoluted way that you really do have to walk the rocks to see the mountain view! Hally works as CrossEvents Administrator. |
