D. Lead of Love, Caedmon's Call. Hally had a line listed on her dating profile

H. Had to walk the rocks to see the mountain view. dUm said he loved that line.

Q. So you met on the dating site, chatted and dated...

D. We met on the site, and I flirted with a lot of girls, Hally was one of those girls, but I probably spoke to her the least.

H. I didn't even think he was interested in me till I got an email from him asking me out on a date. I had to pinch myself and keep checking his profile to convince myself it was really happening.

D. The first date had to be cancelled, I had to work.

H. I was gutted.

D. So was I.

Q. So, you finally met. Love at first sight?

D. Yes and no. I had originally told everyone that it was just friends meeting, nothing serious. I was fine until I got off the train a minute before meeting her, at which point I had a panic attack 'what if she doesn't like me' kind of thing. I had Dan (my son) with me, so I acted strong for him and got over it. We actually walked straight past her till we figured out she had to be the lonely one on the platform.

H. I was so scared that I'd got the wrong time. I recognised dUm from his son...

D. When I saw her and set off walking to the aquarium with her, my heart missed a beat. She was beautiful, intelligent, and I felt comfortable about being me around her. I felt then that things were different.

H. Its weird, but I felt like I could be myself around him.

Q. OK, so not love at first sight... When did you two realise?

D. Well, we'd gone through the Deep and enjoyed ourselves, We'd gone and had lunch in some of my old haunts, and then we went to a camping shop, and Dan was really cute with her, and she coped and cracked a joke right back at me. That's when I realised. My heart stopped for a second while my brain struggled to come to term with the fact that I had just fallen in love. When I got home, I emailed a mutual friend and explained things, and said, that I would really like to see her again.

H. Like dUm said, we enjoyed ourselves, but for me, it was when I got on the train to go home, and I couldn't get him out of my head.

Q. Did you two start dating immediately.

D. Nope... We were fools though, we skirted the issue for days, until a mutual friend told us to stop being stupid.

H. I went to see my gran and we talked constantly while I was away, but never really talked about us. So a friend told us to stop being stupid and we asked each other out.

Q. How long has it been?

D. Its been about 3 and a half months, and we've grown really close. We've been on holiday together, Hally has moved some stuff in to my house, and we've got engaged.

H. Yeah, he decided to propose over MSN, saying 'I think I need your ring size'. He proposed properly that night when he got home from work.

Q. Plans for the future?

D. Marriage, kids, keeping God alive in our lives.

H. I'm studying to get my degree, though have some time out to get married and have some kids. Anything after that is hard to say.
